Costs and insurance

What determines the cost of orthodontic treatment, how you receive a cost estimate and what to check with your supplementary insurance.

What determines the cost

Costs depend on the severity of the malocclusion, the chosen appliance, treatment duration and the number of appointments. A reliable figure is therefore only possible once your records are complete.

A transparent cost estimate

Before treatment begins you receive a written cost estimate. We explain which items are included and how alternative options would affect the cost.

Supplementary insurance

Swiss basic health insurance covers orthodontic treatment only in specific exceptional cases. Many supplementary dental policies contribute to treatment for children and teenagers; benefits vary considerably by insurer, product and the age at which the policy was taken out. We recommend obtaining written cost approval before treatment begins.
