2. Applicable Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP / revDSG), which came into force on 1 September 2023. Where applicable to persons in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies.
3. Data We Collect
We collect personal data only when you actively provide it to us — for example when you:
- Request an appointment
- Contact us by telephone or email
- Attend the practice as a patient
This website does not provide a contact form. Email links open your email app. Your message is sent only when you send it from that app. Please do not send diagnoses or other sensitive health information by unencrypted email.
When you visit the website, the hosting infrastructure receives connection data, including your IP address. The website currently has no built-in Google Analytics or marketing tracker. Please contact the practice for information about the handling of your enquiry.
4. Purpose & Legal Basis
- Appointment & patient administration — necessary for the performance of a contract (treatment relationship).
- Email and telephone enquiries — processed on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Medical records — processed on the basis of legal obligations under Swiss health and dental law, and contractual necessity.
5. Medical Data
Health and treatment data is subject to professional secrecy under Swiss law (Art. 321 StGB). This data is stored securely, accessible only to authorised clinical staff, and never shared with third parties without your explicit consent — except where required by law (e.g. insurance billing, cantonal health authorities).
6. Data Retention
Retention depends on the purpose of processing and applicable legal duties. Please contact the practice for information about your data and the periods applicable to patient records. This website does not define a blanket retention period for medical records.
7. Third-Party Services
Our website is hosted on infrastructure that may process data in Switzerland or the European Union. All processors are bound by data processing agreements in line with applicable law.
We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or third-party profiling tools on this website. No personal data is sold or shared for marketing purposes.
8. Cookies
The language is determined by the URL you visit. The website has no first-party tracking or marketing cookie feature. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which connects to Google. Map tiles from OpenStreetMap load automatically on the contact page. These connections transmit technical information including your IP address to the respective provider. External links, including directions in Google Maps, are subject to the relevant provider's privacy policy.
OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy9. Your Rights

- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the contact details or in writing to our registered address.
10. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data transmission between your browser and our website is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS.
11. Supervisory Authority
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.
